Shiryoku Nashi (without sight) Dojo was established in 2011 by Sensei Dean Dunwody when he started working with the Blind and Visually Impaired community teaching Self-Defense techniques.
Sensei Dunwody began his studies of the martial arts in 1993. Over the past several years he has studied multiple styles and techniques. He has achieved 3rd degree black belts in Taiho-Jitsu and Budoshin Ju-Jitsu as well as 1st degree black belts in the Combat Sombo and Isshin-Ryu. He has received instructor title for both Taiho and Budoshin styles of Ju-Jitsu under Master Sensei Bruce Jones.
He belongs to several organizations including the American Ju-Jitsu Association (AJA),
Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) and United States Judo Association (USJA).
